Browser Refresh is a portable Windows application that is designed to help Web Designers and Developers quickly refresh their browsers from anywhere with one keystroke. It currently supports Google Chrome, Google Chrome Canary, Mozilla Firefox, Firefox Developer Edition, Internet Explorer, Opera Browser, Yandex Browser, Blisk Browser, and Vivaldi Browser. It’s currently supported on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 and runs on .NET Framework 2.0.

I developed this utility quite sometime back while I was in the University after I got into some serious Web Development, and well, before I got to meet with the power of ReactJS. But interestingly, over the course of time, this utility became dearly loved by the community and has clocked over 33,000 downloads as of this writing, with most users blogging about it and software download directories such as FindMySoft even reviewing it. I must add, I’m pretty impressed by how much it’s still loved and needed by some.

Web developers and testers usually get it quite rough when designing and scripting web pages for schools, companies, and even personal projects. The development cycle is always time-consuming and disheartening especially when the focus is largely on the testing side. As a way of bringing the focus back to the development side for web architects, Browser Refresh, a utility which helps refresh browsers from any application or work-space, assists web developers and other users perform refresh tasks easily with the press of a hotkey. Now with this nice, little, and portable utility, you can work side-by-side with code editors such as Sublime Text and Notepad++ together with your preferred browser(s), be it with one monitor or multiple monitors connected. It also supports “hard-refreshing” for any (or all) of the supported browsers if you’re working with server-side web pages/scripts which may require cache-clearing from time to time.
